Hovaheart Kennel

The Hovaheart Kennel Website needed to be built from the ground up. Using a combination of PHP, CSS, and Java Coding, I built this website throughout 2019. Currently I have moved into more of a support role as webmaster, keeping the website updated for the client. ​ When I became involved with this project, the client had a previously designed website they had created using a free online template. Much of the coding was broken and the load time on the site was prohibitively long. I was asked to do a complete redesign and to update the SEO for the site. There were many challenges because the previous format for the site had been so corrupted that there was total loss of some site text and images. I worked closely with the client to recreate as much as possible with the information they were able to provide.

It was important for the client that they would be able to include a wide variety of images to show off the beautiful puppies from their kennel. Informal usage surveys showed that many of the website users were accessing from mobile, so I implemented responsive coding to support this desire. The pages and images automatically resize to support any browser ratio or size.
